Detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying a group of suspects accused of assaulting and robbing a 24-year-old man in Santa Ana.
The attack happened near the intersection of 17th and Fairview streets as the victim was walking to a nearby Little Caesars, according to Santa Ana Police Department officials, who did not say when exactly the incident took place.
Police said the man was approached by a group of suspects when someone grabbed his gold chain from behind and ripped it from his neck.
Footage captured on nearby surveillance cameras shows the suspects pushing the victim to the ground, where multiple people began punching and kicking him, authorities said. Additional suspects joined the assault before the entire group fled the area…
