Although the Los Alamitos City Council approved body-worn cameras for police in December of 2025, police officials explained at a town hall on June 30 why the city’s police officers are still not wearing the devices.
Los Alamitos remains the only police department in Orange County to not utilize body-worn cameras in the field, though police officials acknowledge they are working out the details to deploy them soon.
