What started as an armed‑robbery investigation out of Whittier ended with a high‑risk traffic stop on a Santa Monica street early Friday, after police say their SMART Center and a K9 team zeroed in on a wanted car downtown.
According to a post from the Santa Monica Police Department, K9 Norton and his handler first spotted the vehicle near Pico Boulevard and Main Street. Officers then moved in and conducted what they called a high‑risk stop at Ocean Park Boulevard and Main Street.
