Hundreds of Orange County Families Set to Benefit from Resource Rally on July 22

A coalition of organizations will come together in Fullerton on July 22 to provide essential resources to families in need during a Resource Rally hosted by Niagara Cares, Feed the Children, the Orange County United Way, and the Fullerton School District. The event aims to alleviate some of the challenges that families will face against the backdrop of rising living costs.

Volunteers will distribute 400 family kits, each designed to support a family of four. The kits will include shelf-stable food, fresh produce, cases of water, daily essentials, and children’s toys. This initiative comes at a critical time when nearly 10% of Orange County residents live below the poverty line, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The soaring costs of food, transportation, housing, and energy are expected to intensify financial pressures, making it difficult for families to provide sufficient nutrition for their children.

City and community leaders are set to attend the event to show their support and underscore the importance of such initiatives.
