Investigators released new details on the arrest of a Southern California man wanted for the cold case murder of his neighbor nearly 30 years after the homicide.
The incident occurred on Dec. 1, 1996, after the suspect, Manuel Banuelos, shot and killed his neighbor, Ernesto Tapia, in the city of Bell Gardens.
