Anchorage Assembly member named as Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins’ choice for Lieutenant Governor

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins has picked Anchorage Assembly member Zac Johnson, an independent, to be his running mate.

Johnson represents South Anchorage and Girdwood in the Anchorage Assembly. He was first elected in 2023 and was reelected in April.

“I trust and respect Zac — as a leader and as a fellow Alaskan,” Kreiss-Tomkins said in a press release Monday morning. “He is thoughtful, pragmatic and a great governing partner who is focused on solving problems and making Alaska a better place to live, work and raise a family.”…
