A section of the Chester Creek Trail in Anchorage is now back open after repair work near Hillstrand Pond was completed.
The area had been closed since late last month after erosion caused part of a bridge to sink, prompting safety concerns and a temporary shutdown.
Crews spent just under three weeks rebuilding and reinforcing the damaged section of the trail. With the repairs now finished, the route has reopened to the public…
