ANN ARBOR, MI — Sean Yannotti was working as a security guard at the Ann Arbor Hash Bash in April 2019 when his years-long legal battle with the city started.
The Ann Arbor Police Department’s parking enforcement division “chalked” the tires of Yannotti’s 2017 Chevrolet Sonic parked on the street and issued him an expired-meter parking ticket.
“He was really angry about it at the time, because Sean is a hard-working, blue-collar guy,” Michigan civil rights attorney Philip Ellison said, saying his client took pride in his car and the “tire chalk” is actually a wax that doesn’t come off easily…
