GRASS LAKE, MI – A new face will take the reins as athletic director for Grass Lake Community Schools in just a few weeks.
The district’s board of education green-lit hiring Tyler Hughes to fill the role during a meeting on Monday, June 8, according to a news release. After serving as an academic interventionist and the athletic director with Springport Public Schools for the last few years, Hughes is slated to start the new gig on July 1.
He replaces Brian Zalud, who resigned as Grass Lake’s AD last November, and Grass Lake High School Principal Brian Thompson, who filled in on an interim basis over the last few months…
