According to the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC), 36-year-old Ashley Hoath died after being transferred from the prison’s medical unit to a local hospital. ClickOnDetroit reports the MDOC says she reported feeling unwell, was evaluated by medical staff, and was responsive when she left the facility by ambulance.
Three Deaths in Less Than a Month
Hoath’s death follows the deaths of 28-year-old Khaira Howard on May 14 and 57-year-old Rebecca Fackler on May 17. The cause of all three deaths remains under investigation, according to MLive.
