Township enacts 12-month pause as Consumers Energy’s eyes land for power plant west of Ann Arbor

LIMA TWP., MI — A community near Ann Arbor has put a temporary pause on new power-generating facilities as it faces the possibility of a Consumers Energy power plant.

The Lima Township Board of Trustees voted unanimously Friday, June 12, to enact a 12-month moratorium to temporarily halt permitting, considering or approving power generating facilities in the township.
