MONROE — Legislation to rename a stretch of highway in honor of a Monroe County animal control officer killed in the line of duty is heading to the governor’s desk.
The Michigan Senate voted Friday to pass House Bill 4100, which would designate a portion of M-50 in Monroe County, from South Raisinville Road to Herr Road, as the “Animal Control Officer Darrian Young Memorial Highway.”
