Eastern Michigan University has said that “continued operation is financially unsustainable beyond 2027” for the school’s pool. The school has also said that unless external funding is secured, the pool will close on May 9th.

In addition, if the school cannot find an alternative facility that is NCAA compliant, the EMU women’s swim team would “likely be discontinued.” EMU cut its men’s program in 2018…
