$902M donated to University of Michigan in 2026

ANN ARBOR, MI – The University of Michigan attracted $902 million in donations during fiscal year 2026, officials said, claiming the mark as the most successful year of its Look to Michigan campaign.

More than 126,000 donors contributed to the total, representing a 6% increase over the previous year. Officials added this is counter to a national trend of declining donor participation.

“Our university’s fundraising success this past year is very good news for all faculty, staff and students — and for the many people and communities we serve,” Tom Baird, vice president for development, said in a statement. “Philanthropy has a critical impact on our ability to make a Michigan education accessible and affordable, to attract and support the best faculty in the world, and to make life-saving advances in engineering, science and medicine.”…
