The Scio Township Board approved the Groves of Scio Preliminary PUD (Planned Unit Development) and Site Plan at its September 22 meeting, moving the plan forward for the nearly 20 acres of land at Jackson and Zeeb roads.
The township board reviewed the plan put forth by Pulte Homes of Michigan on the proposed project called the Groves of Scio. The plan was granted a preliminary approval with an additional condition that they have a Brownfield Plan approved by the Scio Twp. Board of Trustees.
According to the township planner, Pulte Homes of Michigan is requesting “Preliminary PUD/rezoning approval for a mixed-use development to construct a retail and residential townhome development at the site of the former Malloy Lithography industrial facility. The former Malloy building occupies the northern portion of the site with the southern portion of the property being vacant. The site consists of two parcels that total 19.2 acres.”…
