Brighton Schools touts no tax-rate increase under proposed bond

A revised $90.275 million Brighton Area Schools bond proposal will appear on the Nov. 3 ballot, a measure district leaders say reflects community feedback and would not increase the debt millage rate.

District leaders discussed the proposal during a Sept. 23 community question-and-answer session. A recording is available on YouTube. The district’s previous $156 million bond proposal was rejected in May by a 51.6% to 48.4% margin.
