Plan to lure teens to an Arlington park backfires, leaving several suspects stabbed and arrested

ARLINGTON, Texas — Five people, including three teenagers and a 24-year-old man, have been arrested after Arlington police say a planned confrontation at a city park turned violent Wednesday night.

Just after 11 p.m., officers responded to Brantley Hinshaw Park in the 2100 block of Overbrook Drive to investigate a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found two teenage boys who said they had come to the park to meet a girl they had been talking to through an app. The teens told officers shortly after arriving, a group of males wearing ski masks approached them.

Police said the teens reported that several of the suspects were armed. The teens attempted to run away, but the suspects chased them…
