Montgomery County is inviting residents to celebrate Independence Day with two free community events featuring live music, food vendors, family-friendly activities and fireworks displays.
The celebrations will take place on July 3 in Kensington and July 4 in Germantown, with fireworks scheduled to begin at approximately 9:15pm at both locations. The separate City of Gaithersburg SummerFest celebration takes place on June 27th.
“Independence Day is a chance to spend time with family, friends and neighbors and to reflect on what it means to be part of a community,” said Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich. “I hope residents and visitors alike join us in Kensington on July 3 or in Germantown on July 4, to enjoy a summer evening and celebrate the ideals that continue to shape our country.”…
