STERLING, VA — A 77-year-old woman was killed Wednesday evening after a crash in Sterling involving a pedestrian, an SUV and a sedan, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they were called to Innovation Avenue near Sully Road just after 8 p.m. and found the scene had already become a fatal one. The pedestrian was identified as Jacqueline Heaps, 77, of Sterling, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office said both vehicles stayed at the crash site. Neither driver was hurt, and investigators said at this point they do not believe speed or alcohol played a role.
