Parents to get a look at Montgomery County Public Schools study on closing, consolidating elementary/middle schools

Montgomery County has seen the number of enrolled students drop by 9,200 since the 2019-2020 school year, and that number is expected to fall by another 6,300 students by the 2031 school year.

The drop in enrollment in Montgomery County Public Schools has prompted one of Maryland’s largest school systems to consider closing and consolidating some elementary and middle schools.
