Isolated storms possible heading through the weekend

Happy Saturday, DMV! It’s a mild and sunny start to the morning, so you will not need the jacket when heading out the door. Sunny skies will continue through the rest of the morning and linger into the afternoon hours with a light breeze.

This weekend’s forecast is perfect for all the events that will be happening today in and around the District. A mix of sun and clouds will be the trend as we head through the afternoon, but a chance of a few storms could be possible during the second half of the day today out towards the mountain counties. Highs this afternoon will be warm, reaching into the 80s. Mostly dry conditions will be the trend if you plan on heading out for Preakness or the Nats game this afternoon.

Tonight, under partly cloudy skies, a few isolated showers/storms could make their way closer to the D.C. with overnight lows dipping into the 60s. Tomorrow morning will start with mainly cloudy skies a stray shower could be possible. Clouds will stick around for the first half of the day Sunday, with highs reaching back into the 70s to 80s. There is another chance of an isolated shower/storm tomorrow afternoon.
