Work is set to begin soon on a new cross-town greenway in Hendersonville, serving an eastern area of the city experiencing a lot of development but without much recreation infrastructure of this kind.
The planned mixed-use trail, called the Clear Creek Greenway, will cross bridges over Mud Creek and Allen Branch and beneath I-26 in the course of its nearly two-mile run, City Engineer Brendan Shanahan told Council in its July 2 meeting.
