Black Mountain Blues Festival Returns for Third Year

The Black Mountain Blues Festival will return Sept. 25–27 for its third year, bringing a three-day lineup to White Horse Black Mountain and downtown Black Mountain. The weekend combines touring performers with artists rooted in the regional blues community.

Friday’s announced artists include Ghost Town Blues Band, Seth Walker, Peggy Ratusz and Daddy LongLegs, Ra’Shad the Blues Kid, and MAMA Melissa McKinney. The opening program features five acts, including musicians with Western North Carolina connections.

Saturday expands the bill with Selwyn Birchwood, Mac Arnold, Stacy Mitchhart Band, Derrick Dove and the Peacekeepers, Max Hightower and another appearance by Ra’Shad the Blues Kid. Sunday features Southern Avenue, DaShawn and Wendy Hickman, Rhoda Weaver and the Risers, and McKinney…
