ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation confirmed Thursday that one Asheville police officer fired a weapon during a fatal shooting at a Nancy Street home and said the man who was shot was familiar with people inside the residence.
The SBI is investigating the Aug. 27 officer-involved shooting after Asheville police responded around 12:34 a.m. to multiple reports of a breaking and entering in progress.
