Haywood Regional program helps staff earn medical assistant certification

HAYWOOD COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Haywood Regional Medical Center is offering a Certified Medical Assistant Training program to help staff expand their skills.

The program allows clinic personnel, including front desk staff, lab assistants and medical assistants, to take a three-week abbreviated course. At the end of the course, participants take the NHA (National Healthcareer Association) exam. If they pass, they become certified clinical medical assistants.
