North Carolina Apple Festival Returns September 4-7

The North Carolina Apple Festival returns to downtown Hendersonville over Labor Day weekend, running Friday, September 4, through Monday, September 7. The annual celebration combines local apples, a street fair, family activities, entertainment and a closing parade.

Street Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The smaller Monday fair opens at 10 a.m. and continues until the King Apple Parade ends, although most arts and crafts booths close at 8 p.m. on the first three days.

Fourteen Henderson County apple growers are listed by the festival, with participating stands in Hendersonville, Edneyville, Flat Rock, Dana and nearby communities. Visitors can use the grower list to find apples and apple products before, during or after the downtown event…
