A grand opening for the new Publix at the Marketplace at Mills River complex, on Boylston Highway at Old Haywood Road, is scheduled for Aug. 13.
“We are thrilled to welcome customers to their new Publix supermarket in Mills River,” Publix spokesperson Jared Glover said in an Aug. 12 news release. “As Publix continues to grow, we remain focused on providing premier customer service and convenience, rooted in the community and staffed with friendly and knowledgeable associates.”
The new store will have a pharmacy with a drive-thru, a deli, and meat, seafood and bakery departments, according to the release. Publix planned to hire 140 people to staff the 50,000-square-foot store, the Times-News previously reported…
