Charter outage preventing landline 911 calls in Buncombe County, officials say

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – Buncombe County officials reported on Friday that some landline 911 calls are being impacted by a Charter outage.

Officials said that Charter has experienced a fiber break in its equipment, which is preventing some customers’ landline calls from reaching the 911 Emergency Call Center. All 911 Public Safety Communications lines and equipment remain fully operational.
