Millions at risk as heavy rains threaten floods across the South

It seems that the South isn’t in the clear after a damp Memorial Day weekend.

Around 15 million people are under flood alerts from Louisiana to Georgia on Tuesday as the region braces for more heavy rains and thunderstorms that could bring up to 2 inches of rainfall to some areas.

Excessive rain is also forecast to affect an area stretching from the Carolinas to western Texas. Large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes could also be possible for parts of southwest Texas, including Midland and Fort Stockton.
