Massive water oak crashes on Candler Park home

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — What was once a peaceful backyard oasis filled with flowers, birds and wildlife is now covered in debris after a massive water oak crashed onto a home in northeast Atlanta.

Steven Renner said he and his wife were inside their home on Page Avenue in Candler Park when the tree suddenly came down.

“It’s our oasis,” Renner said while standing in what remained of the backyard garden the couple spent years building.
