11 missing children recovered during international human trafficking operation

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. (TNND) — Eleven missing children from Georgia were recovered during an international human trafficking operation dubbed “Global Chain,” including a 16-year-old girl whose case has since led to an indictment.

Eric Gordon, 36, of Decatur, was taken into custody Aug. 4 with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and faces one count of trafficking of persons for sexual servitude in connection with the 16-year-old, according to Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr.

The international law enforcement operation took place June 8-12 and involved partnerships with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), INTERPOL, EUROPOL and AMERIPOL, as well as Carr’s Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit…
