Smith to Pittsburgh?

Arthur Smith was relieved of his duties after the season ended in Atlanta, as the team went 7-10 for three seasons in a row and decided to change things up after what they believed to be a plateau within the organization.

In fairness to Smith, he never had a competent QB during his tenure, with a late-career Matt Ryan, Desmond Ridder, Marcus Mariota, and Taylor Heinicke as the signal callers during his tenure.

Part of the reason Smith got the job in Atlanta was due to the success he saw as the OC with the Tennessee Titans, helping orchestrate an offense that made Ryan Tannehill look like a high-end starter and get within one game of the Super Bowl.

One thing about Smith that is undeniable is his love and passion for football. Smith is the son of FedEx owner Frederick W. Smith, yet he searched for a career in one of the most demanding professions on Earth.

His grit, work ethic, and offensive intellect could be a perfect fit in Pittsburgh, and just what the doctor ordered when it comes to the development of Kenny Pickett.
