Major Human Trafficking Investigation Leads to Multiple Arrests in South Fulton

SOUTH FULTON, GA—A significant human trafficking investigation is underway in South Fulton, leading to 20 individuals being taken into custody, with two more currently sought by police.

The City of South Fulton Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at a residence on the 5400 block of Orly Terrace in College Park at around 8 a.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, officers confirmed gunshots were being fired behind the house, prompting them to establish a perimeter and initiate an investigation.

Police Chief Keith Meadows shared insights into the operation during a news conference, revealing that the residence had been the subject of numerous complaints regarding illicit activities, including potential sex trafficking. The individuals detained are primarily women, with ages ranging from 16 to potentially 40 years old.

Residents of the area have reportedly expressed their gratitude towards the police efforts, indicating that the residence in question has been a source of problems for some time. Chief Meadows emphasized the commitment of the police department to conduct a thorough investigation related to the activities at the property, which also includes complaints about illicit parties.
