ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — If Gov. Brian Kemp’s calendar is to be believed, eligible Georgia taxpayers should begin receiving their first round of tax rebates this week.
The Georgia Department of Revenue has confirmed it has begun issuing surplus tax refund checks to taxpayers.
Kemp signed HB 1000 into law on March 20, 2026. At the time, he said Georgians would begin receiving their refunds within five to six weeks … which means right about now…
