Deputy indicted after prosecutors say he tased man, knocked out teeth

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A Richmond County grand jury has indicted a Richmond County Sheriff’s deputy on felony charges after prosecutors say he unlawfully tased a man and pushed him to the ground.

Augusta District Attorney Jared Williams confirmed the Clarence Johnson V’s indictment to 12 On Your Side.

The indictment, filed July 7 in Richmond County Superior Court, charges Johnson with violation of oath by public officer, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and aggravated battery…
