AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – WRDW/WAGT and local YMCAs are teaming up for a school supply drive to help area classrooms start the school year prepared by supporting teachers.
From July 15 through July 31, community members are encouraged to donate new school supplies at any participating YMCA location in Richmond, Columbia, Aiken, Burke, Barnwell, and Jefferson County. Donations collected through the drive will go directly toward helping teachers prepare their classrooms for the year ahead.
With rising costs impacting families across the CSRA, teachers are often among those feeling the squeeze.
