AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Doctors Hospital held a mass casualty training exercise on Friday.
The hospital puts together the event each year, creating drills to help prepare for any future disasters.
“We’re taking them out into the real field so they can have hands on experience of during a mass casualty incident,” said Acy Miller, the emergency manager at Doctors Hospital. “Bombing, somebody drives to a crowd, an active shooter situation. We are teaching them how to do salt, which is what we do with our mass casualty triage. We’re going to sort of victims out. We’re going to treat them if we need to transport them to the hospitals,”…
