Santa Fe closed after shooting in Denver

DENVER — A 35-year-old man was shot and wounded Tuesday morning at a Denver gas station after a stolen vehicle he was believed to be in was tracked to that location, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The shooting happened around 11 a.m. at the Sinclair gas station in the 600 block of Santa Fe Drive in Denver.

CSP Colonel Matthew Packard said the incident began with the theft of a traffic control truck near Bennett in eastern Adams County around 9 a.m. A worker was at a traffic site and briefly got out of the vehicle and that’s when the suspect got inside and drove off…
