LITTLETON, Colo. (KDVR) — With temperatures climbing into the 90s across the Denver metro area on Saturday, crowds packed Colorado reservoirs in search of relief from the early summer heat.
At Chatfield State Park, beachgoers, paddleboarders, boaters and swimmers filled the shoreline early in the day with some parking lots and recreation areas quickly reaching capacity.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife anticipated a busy weekend at state parks, and Chatfield Reservoir saw a steady stream of visitors throughout the day as people arrived to cool off by the water.
