Denver police on Friday announced that a man had been arrested in connection with a shooting earlier this month.
Joseph Michael Eugene York, 35, was booked into the Denver city jail on Thursday, according to jail records. Police said he faces a charge of first-degree murder in connection with a June 7 shooting near City Park.
That shooting, which took place at about 3:30 a.m. near East Colfax Avenue and North Dahlia Street, left Elijah Barr, 25, dead, according to the Denver Medical Examiner’s office. He was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle, where he died at about 4:40 a.m…
