DENVER (KDVR) — A Jefferson County park in Golden is closed Monday morning due to “aggressive bear activity.”
Jeffco Parks and Open Space just after 6 a.m. announced Apex Park, a nearly 800-acre park that offers trails up Lookout Mountain, is temporarily closed while Colorado Parks and Wildlife monitors the bear situation.

Parks officials have not said exactly what kind of bear activity prompted the closure or how long the park will be closed.
