Warnings, fines coming after Denver Water receives 3K watering violation complaints

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver Water is warning that additional watering restrictions could be implemented if reservoir levels continue to decline.

For now, the utility is urging customers to reduce water use and follow a twice-a-week watering schedule after receiving more than 3,000 complaints from customers about neighbors potentially over-watering.

Denver Water officials said reservoir levels are about 19% lower than normal for this time of year and warned that if customers do not continue cutting back on water use, more restrictions may be necessary.
