COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (KDVR) – Commerce City Police sent out an stern reminder this week—it’s illegal for teens and kids to ride off-highway vehicles (OHVs) in their city.

“The bottom line is that e-motorcycles are prohibited on our city streets, on our sidewalks and in our parks,” Joanna Small with the Commerce City Police said.
The police agency shared a recent story of an officer that caught three teens doing dangerous wheelies on e-motorcycles on a busy roadway. Commerce City Police said they continue to remind the public that OHVs are not permitted on their roads.
Small said that they often pursue the teens or kids riding OHVs when complaints come in from the community. When police encounter them, they do attempt traffic stops; however, Small said that the riders will often flee or elude…
