Robbery suspect arrested after shooting in Aurora

DENVER (KDVR) — A suspect was arrested in connection with a robbery that involved a shooting in Aurora on Sunday, according to a social media post from the Aurora Police Department.

Police arrested 18-year-old Julien Weeks on charges, including:

  • First-degree assault
  • Robbery
  • Violating a court order

On Sunday around 7 p.m., Aurora police responded to reports of a 21-year-old who self-transported to the hospital after suffering a gunshot wound. A separate group of officers was responding to reports of shots fired in the 2200 block of Ironton Street, but learned that the two incidents were connected.
