Passenger in fatal Wheat Ridge crash charged with manslaughter, allegedly kicked steering wheel

A passenger in a car involved in a fatal crash in Wheat Ridge earlier this year has now been charged with manslaughter.

Wheat Ridge Police Department officials said the single-car crash happened at about 4:50 a.m. on April 4 on Interstate 70 westbound, near Garrison Street. Witnesses to the crash told police the car, which was carrying three occupants, was swerving out of control before it struck the highway median.
