COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (KDVR) — The family of a man who died in a single-vehicle crash over the weekend said Wednesday that they’re devastated and left with many questions.
26-year-old Demetrio Campos Felix was killed Friday night around 11 p.m. when Commerce City police say he was ejected from his vehicle after striking the median, leading to him losing control of his car. This happened along Quebec, just before 64th. His family has since placed a single cross there.

His wife, Maria Romero said she was in pure shock when the police came to tell them the next morning.
“It’s hard to process, we couldn’t believe it,” Romero said. “The police came the next day, Saturday at 8 a.m. to tell us he had passed. It’s devastating.”
Demetrio’s brother, Rodolfo Campos Felix, shared that shock.
“I wasn’t fully able to comprehend that my brother was gone. I was still very much in disbelief and at the same time I felt so much anguish on top of me,” Rodolfo said.
