DENVER (KDVR) — Tuesday night went a little differently than expected for one Denver couple, who were sitting in their living room when a car crashed into their apartment.
On Tuesday, around 8:30 p.m., a car crashed into an apartment complex at 8001 E 11th Ave. in Denver, right near Green Lawn Park. At first, Tevon Berka, the resident of the apartment, told FOX31 that he thought it was a shelf falling.
“We were sitting on the couch and heard a big bang, and at first I thought something dropped, like a shelf or something, and then I was like, ‘That’s kind of loud,’ so I figured I check it out.” Berka said. “I came back here, and then I opened the door and then….”
Berka said he’d lived there for a couple of years, and it was “the biggest surprise we’ve had.” The wall to the bedroom was mostly gone. Berka said police and firefighters came, pulled the car out, and boarded up the wall…
