DENVER (KDVR) — A car caught fire at an Aurora library, destroying two other nearby cars in the process, after the driver said he was experiencing “mechanical problems.”
On Monday afternoon, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said a man pulled into the Smoky Hill Library after his car started smoking. He went inside the library to call 911, and when he came back out, the entire car was ablaze.
Deputies responded to the parking lot in the 5400 block of S. Biscay Circle, where the Volvo and a nearby Honda were completely destroyed and deemed total losses. A Mazda parked nearby was also damaged.
The driver said the 2016 Volvo “had been experiencing mechanical problems.” At this time, it’s unclear what started the fire…
