PARKER, Colo. — A car ran off the road and hit a gas regulation station in Parker, causing a leak that prompted a shelter-in-place and evacuations in the area.
The station contained a pressurized gas line that ruptured when the car struck the station near the intersection of West Parker and South Chambers roads, Xcel Energy said. South Metro Fire Rescue said the crash sent free-flowing natural gas into the area.
