An attempted escape on an electric bike in Centennial ended quietly when Arapahoe County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 43-year-old man wanted on felony drug warrants near East Peakview Avenue and South Uvalda Street. Authorities identified the suspect as Eric Tengan and said he fled on an electric bike before abandoning it and surrendering without incident.
According to the sheriff’s office, members of the Special Investigations Unit first tracked Tengan to a hotel in the 13000 block of E. Briarwood Ave. The agency said the Special Response Team and Patrol Team 2 then moved in to help with the arrest. Deputies reported no injuries and said Tengan ultimately gave himself up near the intersection where the search ended.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office shared details and photos from the scene on social media under the all-caps banner “🚨 captured 🚨,” noting that Tengan had active felony warrants for “dangerous drugs and distribution” and is 43 years old, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.
